Description

The Rosita is an often-overlooked classic that can be considered the tequila version of the Negroni or Boulevardier. Instead of gin or whiskey, this drink features reposado tequila, which gives it an earthy agave note. The combination with Campari and both sweet and dry vermouth makes it incredibly complex and multi-layered. A dash of Angostura bitters rounds out the flavor profile. It is a potent, bitter, and spicy drink for connoisseurs.

Preparation

  1. Fill a tumbler glass with a large, clear ice cube.
  2. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice cubes.
  3. Stir for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  4. Strain the contents of the mixing glass into the prepared tumbler.
  5. Express a lemon or grapefruit peel over the drink and add it as a garnish.
