Description

The Tuxedo is a historic cocktail from the late 19th century and a close relative of the Martinez. Named after Tuxedo Park in New York, an exclusive club, this drink is the epitome of elegance and complexity. It combines gin (traditionally Old Tom Gin) and dry vermouth with the complex notes of maraschino liqueur, a hint of absinthe for depth, and orange bitters for a spicy citrus note. A sophisticated drink for connoisseurs.

Preparation

  1. Pre-chill a coupe glass with ice.
  2. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice cubes.
  3. Stir for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  4. Strain the contents through a bar strainer into the chilled glass.
  5. Express a lemon peel over the drink and garnish with a cocktail cherry.
