Description

The White Russian is a simple but incredibly delicious and creamy cocktail. Its popularity exploded in the late 1990s when it became the favorite drink of "The Dude" in the cult film "The Big Lebowski." The drink is an evolution of the "Black Russian" (just vodka and coffee liqueur), with a layer of fresh cream simply added on top. The result is a smooth, sweet, and satisfying drink, perfect as an after-dinner cocktail or for a relaxed evening.

Preparation

  1. Fill a tumbler glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the vodka and coffee liqueur over the ice and stir briefly.
  3. Gently pour the fresh, liquid cream over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the drink, so that it forms a separate layer.
  4. The drink is traditionally served unstirred, allowing the layers to mix as you drink.
