Description
The Spicy Fifty is a modern cocktail classic created by Salvatore Calabrese. It is a masterful balance of sweet, sour, floral, and spicy notes. The base of vanilla vodka is complemented by the floral sweetness of elderflower syrup and the rich sweetness of honey. Fresh lime juice provides the necessary acidity, while two thin slices of chili give the drink a present but pleasant heat. An exciting and multi-layered cocktail.
Preparation
- Pre-chill a coupe glass with ice.
- Add all ingredients, including the chili slices, to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously.
- Double-strain the contents through a fine sieve into the chilled glass to remove the chili pieces.
- Garnish with a small red chili pepper.
