Description
The Scorpion is a classic Tiki punch popularized by "Trader Vic" Bergeron. It is known for often being served in a large, communal bowl (the "Scorpion Bowl") with several long straws. The drink is a potent but deliciously balanced mix of rum and brandy, rounded out by the nutty sweetness of orgeat (almond syrup) and the freshness of orange and lemon juice. A perfect, tropical drink for a social gathering.
Preparation
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously until the shaker is ice-cold.
- Strain into a Scorpion Bowl or a large Tiki glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish lavishly with a fresh mint sprig and an edible flower.
