Description
The Italian Blossom is an elegant and sparkling evolution of the classic Garibaldi (Campari Orange). By replacing a portion of the orange juice with Prosecco, the drink gains a fine effervescence and a drier, more complex note. The tart bitterness of Campari is still balanced by the sweetness of the orange juice, but the carbonation from the Prosecco makes the cocktail lighter and more festive. A perfect aperitif for any occasion.
Preparation
- Pre-chill a cocktail glass (coupe or martini glass) with ice.
- Add Campari and orange juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake briefly but vigorously.
- Discard the ice from the cocktail glass.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into the chilled glass.
- Gently top up with the well-chilled Prosecco.
- Garnish with a small orange slice or a peel.
