Description

The Blue Lady is a colorful and elegant variation of the classic "White Lady" cocktail. Instead of triple sec, Blue Curaçao is used, which gives the drink its characteristic, delicate sky-blue color. The base of gin and fresh lemon juice provides a classic sour profile, complemented by the orange notes of the Blue Curaçao. Optionally, egg white can be added to give the cocktail a velvety texture and a beautiful foam head.

Preparation

  1. Pre-chill a coupe glass with ice.
  2. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
  3. If using egg white, first perform a "Dry Shake" (without ice) for 15 seconds.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake again vigorously until it is ice-cold.
  5. Discard the ice from the glass.
  6. Strain the contents of the shaker through a fine sieve into the chilled glass.
  7. Garnish with a lemon peel.
