Description

The Barbara is an elegant and creamy after-dinner cocktail, closely related to the more famous "Alexander." In this drink, vodka takes the place of gin, resulting in a cleaner and smoother flavor profile where the chocolate notes of crème de cacao and the richness of the cream take center stage. It is a luxurious and uncomplicated drink, perfect as a liquid dessert, convincing with its velvety texture.

Preparation

  1. Fill a coupe or martini glass with ice to pre-chill it.
  2. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the shaker is ice-cold on the outside.
  4. Discard the ice from the glass.
  5. Strain the contents of the shaker through a fine sieve into the chilled glass.
  6. Grate a pinch of fresh nutmeg over the surface of the drink.
