Description
The Apricot Secco is a wonderfully simple yet sophisticated aperitif. It combines the intense, sweet fruitiness of apricot liqueur with the dry effervescence of sparkling wine or Prosecco. The result is a light, elegant, and not-too-sweet drink, perfect for welcoming guests or toasting a special moment. It is an excellent alternative to the classic Kir Royal and brings a sunny, summery note to the glass.
Preparation
- Pour the well-chilled apricot liqueur into a pre-chilled sparkling wine glass or champagne coupe.
- Carefully top up with the ice-cold dry sparkling wine. Hold the glass at a slight angle to preserve the carbonation.
- Do not stir.
- Optionally, garnish with a thin slice of a fresh apricot.
